Virtual Backpack Guidelines

Who Can Submit

Non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations can submit to the Virtual Backpack.


All flyers (excluding school-affiliated) must include the following approved disclaimer:

This is not a school publication, nor is it in any way endorsed or sponsored by any school district. This publication is beingĀ provided only to inform you of other available community activities and opportunities.

Flyers Should Not

Your flyer must not promote a fundraiser not sponsored by WDMCS. In accordance with our district administrative rules and regulations, WDMCS does not distribute flyers for fundraisers that are not directly connected to and/or sponsored by school-affiliated groups. Please contact the School/Community Relations Office at 515-633-5022 for clarification if needed.

Your flyer must not feature any religious symbols.


If your flyer follows the Virtual Backpack guidelines, it should be approved by the School/Community Relations Office. If it does not follow the Virtual Backpack guidelines, an email will be sent to the listed contact explaining why the flyer was denied.

Your flyer will remain in our Virtual Backpack until it expires on the designated event date that is submitted.
