Heartland Youth Choir is holding open rehearsals for singers in grades K-12 Sept. 6-23. This is an opportunity for students who are interested in exploring their love of music beyond the school setting. Please see the attached flyer for specific dates and times!

The West Des Moines Kiwanis Club is starting and sponsoring a Central Iowa High School Teen Film Festival. Submit your film by 5 p.m. CDT, Friday, Sept. 14! The festival will take place Sunday, Oct. 7, at the Staplin Performing Arts Center. Film screenings will run from 1:30-4:30 p.m., with the awards presentation at 5 p.m. There will be prizes for short films in three categories and an overall “Best of Festival” prize.
