Valley Junior Logan Campbell Earns Top Score on ACT (05/31/2023)

May 31, 2023 | Please join West Des Moines Community Schools in congratulating Valley High School junior Logan Campbell, who achieved a perfect ACT score on his test in April 2023. The test includes English, math, reading, and science portions, all scored on a scale of 1-36. The composite score is the average of those four scores, meaning Campbell earned a perfect score on all four sections of the exam.

About one 10th of 1 percent of students receive the top score. Iowa's average composite score for 2022 was 21.4, and the national average score according to the most recent data from ACT, Inc., is 20.3.
