Superintendent Adams Listening Tour (09/16/22)

Sept. 16, 2022 | West Des Moines Community Schools (WDMCS) is excited to share that Superintendent Matt Adams will visit each of our 13 schools this fall as part of his districtwide “Listening Tour.” Dr. Adams joined West Des Moines Community Schools (WDMCS) this summer, and he is visiting schools across the district so he can hear from YOU, the parents and guardians of our students.

Purpose of Listening Tour

Be prepared to share the following…

• Share about your experience with West Des Moines Community Schools.
• What is going well for you and your student at your school?
• What do you think we should START doing in WDMCS, or at your school?
• What do you think we should STOP doing in WDMCS, or at your school?
• What questions do you have of Dr. Adams regarding his priorities/goals in his first year?

• 10/17/2022 — 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Crestview School of Inquiry
• 10/18/2022 — 5-6 p.m. at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School
• 10/20/2022 — 5-6 p.m. at Fairmeadows Elementary
• 10/25/2022 — 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Valley High School

Child care is not provided, but your student is welcome to attend and sit with you. We will not be livestreaming these events.

If you are unable to attend, but would like to submit a question to Dr. Adams, please complete the Listening Tour Questionnaire. We will collect responses and plan future meetings or podcasts to address common themes.
