MRSA

Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus is an infection that is resistant to commonly used antibiotics such as penicillins and currently available cephalosporins. MRSA has emerged in communities and can cause infections in otherwise healthy people. Most MRSA infections are skin infections that appear as red and swollen sores or boils. MRSA can be spread easily among athletes.
