Photos/Video: Students Play Soccer with Elementary Clubs, Opportunity on Deck
Three West Des Moines Community Schools elementary buildings are providing their students with a chance to grow a passion for soccer. Working with Opportunity on Deck, a nonprofit organization founded by Valley High School graduate Dylan DeClerck, Hillside Elementary School, Clive Learning Academy, and Crestview School of Inquiry offer popular soccer clubs that teach students the game and give them a chance to play.
On April 28, the Clive and Crestview soccer clubs joined Hillside Soccer Club for the last day of the season. More than 150 students and families from all three schools joined together to enjoy soccer and a meal.
