The West Des Moines Community Schools (WDMCS) Board of Education will hold a special meeting to appoint a new Board member at 7 p.m. in the Community Room on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Learning Resource Center, 3550 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines.

Fannette Elliott resigned form the WDMCS Board of Education on March 23, 2026 following her election to the West Des Moines City Council. The Board will fill the vacancy by appointment.
