Academic Programs

The WDMCS curriculum is based on solid, successful, and researched ideas from the past but also changes with the present. Teachers use ideas and skills that match the technology and culture of today and the needs of students.

The district's educational goals are to get each student ready to have the skills and integrity to communicate, work together, and solve problems confidently. This prepares them to be good citizens in our diverse and changing world.

Here are the goals:

  1. Communicator: Shares ideas and information well and respectfully.
  2. Collaborator: Works well with diverse teams to achieve a common goal.
  3. Critical Thinker: Analyzes information to solve complex problems.
  4. Global Contributor: Uses learning in real-life situations and collaborates with people from different cultures with respect.
  5. Innovator: Explores and tries new things, building resilience through challenges.
  6. Continuous Learner: Listens to feedback and works towards goals thoughtfully.
