School/Community Relations Overview
The School/Community Relations Department supports West Des Moines Community Schools (WDMCS) districtwide and school-specific communication. From weather alerts and crisis notifications to event reminders and sharing student success stories, School/Community Relations provides timely, relevant information to district staff, students, families, and the broader community.
We maintain the WDMCS website, manage multiple social media accounts, oversee the use of WDMCS logos and other brand material, and distribute various communications through email and print publications.
WDMCS understands the importance of providing valuable resources and timely information to our district families. The team of communication professionals in School/Community Relations is dedicated to helping families stay up-to-date on important information and supporting effective communication.
