PBIS at Jordan Creek
-
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is the proactive approach we use at Jordan Creek Elementary to improve school safety and promote positive behavior. Common language and clearly taught expectations are foundational to a safe community, and PBIS serves as our school-wide system to teach and reinforce positive behavior. During the first few weeks of school, our daily morning meetings will focus on teaching our PBIS expectations as well as the social and emotional skills that contribute to a positive learning community. Students will learn the behavior expectations in different areas throughout the school, including in class, at lunch and recess, and during dismissal. At Jordan Creek, we teach and describe our expectations as the JC3.
The JC3
Be respectful.
Be responsible.
Be safe.
