10-Year Plan: Valley Southwoods Projects

As part of the current 10-Year Facilities Master Plan, significant additions and remodeling will occur at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School.

Provide Career and Technical Education (CTE) spaces.

Addition will have an ICC-500 rated structure to protect the entire building population in the event of a weather-related emergency.

Update the food service kitchen and improve efficiencies in the space.

Create additional collaboration spaces.

Renovate the main entrance to create a secure entry.

Update the outdoor courtyard.

Valley Southwoods Projects Floorplan
This floorplan shows all areas that will be renovated or added.
- Orange area: Update the food service kitchen and add a culinary arts lab, including space for food preparation and a pantry.
- Yellow area: Renovate the main entrance to include a secure entry.
- Dark Blue areas: Transition the media center into an odeum, a small theater space that can be used for performances and education. A smaller book depository will be created to house current media center materials.
- Green area: Addition to Valley Southwoods dedicated to Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming. It is currently designed to include numerous labs and a presentation hall. This addition will also be constructed to house the entire student/staff population in the event of a weather-related emergency.
