Organization: Hoyt Sherman Place

Event Date: Wed Oct 28, 2026

Description: In this class, you will create a colorful coffee-themed canvas. We will start by building a unique background using napkins, tissue paper, and lightweight ephemera with layering.  Then, applying a light wash of acrylic color to bring the background together. The final step is to bring order to the composition by painting a trio of coffee cups on top. Whether you love a good cup of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate, you will learn how to make your subject pop on the busy textured backdrop. We encourage participants to bring their own papers/ephemera for personal use or to share.
