The learning that occurs in our classrooms is supported by quality facilities and sound financial management. Our Business Services department oversees a $154 million budget and more than 1.5 million square feet of building space.
The department works with representatives of our community and staff to ensure our buildings and funding support student learning. For example:
- Our 10-year facilities plan is developed with the assistance of public meetings, surveys, and study groups with community and parent representatives.
- The WDMCS Superintendent’s Finance & Facilities Advisory Committee, made up of district staff and three school board members representing the community, meets regularly to discuss funding and facilities projects.
