Valley High School student Luke Wittrock has been named a 2025 Coca-Cola Scholar Semifinalist, putting him in consideration for a $20,000 college scholarship.
Coca-Cola scholars are chosen based on their academic excellence, leadership, and service both in school and the community. Wittrock is one of just 1,336 students in the country and 21 in Iowa recognized as a semifinalist. More than 105,000 students applied.
Wittrock and the rest of the semifinalists will apply to become one of 250 regional finalists. In the end, Coca-Cola will award 150 scholars with a $20,000 college scholarship.

A joint effort of Coca-Cola bottlers across the country and The Coca-Cola Company, the Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the United States. With the addition of the 37th class, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation will have provided more than 7,050 Coke Scholars nationwide with over $87 million in scholarships since 1986.
