Jane takes on the challenge of empowering students to believe they are capable of doing higher-level math each day. She does this by working individually with each student, learning their unique learning style and interests, and then connecting them to math. She shows students how complex math concepts are connected to art, music, video games, and fashion — using whatever creative angle she can to make math approachable and applicable. She also goes out of her way to make sure her classroom is a place where students feel safe and loved.

Hannah Enzugusi — Fairmeadows Elementary, Fourth Grade Teacher

Hannah Enzugusi constantly strives to do better, seeks out innovative ways to support her students, and builds lasting relationships with Fairmeadows families. She is the first to lend a helping hand, always listens, and never lets anyone feel like they are going through it alone. It is impossible to spend time around Hannah and not feel uplifted. Her energy is genuinely infectious.

She inspires students to dream bigger and try harder simply because she believes in them unconditionally. By modeling resilience, kindness, and passion daily, she shows Fairmeadows students and staff what it means to lead with heart. Hannah’s greatest gift is that she makes everyone around her want to do better, and I know I am a better person and teacher simply for having the privilege of being around her.

Her role as a co-teacher and grade- level collaborator is comparable to none. Her incessant enthusiasm and connection with students, past and present, make her someone who represents what Hillside is all about. Holly’s expectations are high, and she strives to help each student reach that bar throughout the entire year. Her helpful feedback and re-teaching help students build confidence to take risks and step into the spotlight of learning. She has been a colleague for many years, but I’ve come to know her true character as someone who has non-negotiable integrity and inspires me as a dear friend. With many veteran teachers leaving Hillside for retirement, Holly continues to stand the test of time because her love for the community has never wavered. She is Hillside! Holly embodies our mission and pillars of respect, responsibility, caring, and trustworthiness to the end.

Justin Glynn — Fairmeadows Elementary, Paraprofessional

The students he works with love him, respect him, and look up to him. He goes out of his way to be there every day making everyone around him feel like they belong. These are just some of the many reasons he deserves this nomination, especially after going through a personal tragedy last September. I often tell him that I think he found his calling. I know his impact will not be forgotten, as he truly loves his job and working with kids.

Kim Grove — Walnut Creek Campus, Case Manager

Kim Grove has been a constant source of support, compassion, and positivity at Walnut Creek Campus. She goes above and beyond every single day to help students, families, and staff in any way she can. Whether she is giving rides, running the food pantry, finding resources for families in need, helping monitor the halls, clearing bathrooms, or simply being a listening ear, Kim does it all with kindness and genuine care.

Kristen Harrell — Valley Southwoods, Culinary Teacher

Kristen is a model of dedication and organization in the Culinary Arts. She maintains a safe, industry-standard environment while constantly finding new ways to make learning fun and relevant. By incorporating Work-Based Learning like her barista program, she empowers students to see themselves in the culinary field. Her calm presence and welcoming classroom make her a pivotal part of our students’ daily success. Kristen truly inspires our ninth graders to reach for their professional goals every day!

Tyson Heuton — Westridge Elementary, Assistant Principal

Tyson goes out of his way to make our school a positive place to work and learn, so much so that he sang a solo as the “surprise guest” at our spring music concerts. The kids went wild when they found out it was him! He has a quiet but firm way of working with kids. I don’t even want to know how many steps he gets every day because we keep him on his toes. Chad Jamison — Jordan Creek Elementary, Assistant Principal

I am honored to nominate our assistant principal, Chad Jamison, for the PAWSitive Impact Award. In his very first year in this role, he has made an immediate and positive difference in our school community.

What stands out most is his consistent presence. Each day, he is visible in classrooms, hallways, and common spaces — not just as a leader but as a supportive partner. He steps in to problem-solve with a calm, steady approach, helping both students and staff navigate challenges with confidence and care.

His work with student behavior has been especially impactful. He approaches every situation with patience, seeking to understand the “why” behind behaviors while guiding students toward growth. Rather than simply reacting, he builds connections, helping students feel seen, heard, and supported.

Equally important is the way he supports staff. He recognizes the realities and demands we face each day and meets us with empathy and encouragement. Whether offering a listening ear, helping de-escalate a difficult situation, or stepping in when extra support is needed, he consistently shows that we are not in this work alone.

In a short amount of time, he has built meaningful relationships with our students, staff, and families.  His genuine care, approachability, and commitment to doing what is best for each of us has helped to foster a positive and trusting environment.

Chad's leadership continues to make a significant impact, and our school is stronger because of his dedication, compassion, and presence. He is truly deserving of this recognition.

Mallory is truly the “Miss Honey” of our building. She possesses a rare, nurturing warmth that makes everyone who crosses her path feel instantly welcome and valued. She has an incredible gift for authentic connection, consistently building bridges between students and colleagues alike. Even on the most demanding days, Mallory is the first to offer a joke to lighten the mood, using her wit and grace to uplift the entire school when we need it most. Kendra Limback — Jordan Creek Elementary, Teacher Librarian

Kendra is a rockstar teacher-librarian who lifts up our students every single day. She is passionate about inspiring a love of reading and helping young people see themselves as readers. Because she takes time to really know students, she can match them with that just-right next book. In her lessons, Kendra embeds inquiry and exploration, whether students are programming robots, doing an author study, or creating and building in the STEAM Lab. She started a program where student leaders share their own book picks and library love, which lets students shape our reading culture. Kendra believes the library can be the heart of a school and has created a welcoming space where each student belongs. We are so grateful she is a part of the Jordan Creek community!

Claire Maifield — Valley Southwoods, Math Resource Teacher

Claire is a transformative presence in our school community, consistently making a profound, positive impact on both staff and students. Known for her exceptional ability to build deep, meaningful relationships, she creates a culture of trust and belonging wherever she goes. Mr. Orlano is an empowering person to be around. I enjoy being in his class; he constantly helps his students grow and learn and never limits success. He is truly a positive person, and his teaching style always makes sense because he adapts for all students, regardless of letter grade or age. Kayde Penn — Operations, Grounds

Our May Family Engagement Night was a resounding success, thanks to the incredible support from the City of Clive and our dedicated Operations team. In an effort to teach our students about community helpers, we requested to have a few city and maintenance vehicles on-site. Kayde went above and beyond to make this experience unforgettable for the Crestview community. Students were thrilled to explore the vehicles, sit in the driver’s seats, and learn firsthand about the equipment used to support our school. Our students continue to share drawings of the fun vehicles they had the chance to see that night.

We are deeply grateful to Kayde for adjusting his schedule, engaging so positively with our families, and representing his department with such distinction. His outstanding efforts are appreciated by the entire school community!

Lea Anne Perales — Clive Learning Academy, Second Grade Teacher

Ms. Perales is such a bright light at Clive. She makes her students feel welcome, safe, and seen in her classroom by balancing authority, support, and joy. She does all this while teaching her students to be comfortable with who they are by leading by example and showing her fun, silly side. When a student is left out, she always steps in to help them feel a sense of belonging — even if it’s doing a dance she hasn’t learned!

Leslie Perrigo — Jordan Creek Elementary, Sixth Grade Teacher

Leslie consistently exemplifies what it means to educate and empower students at the highest level. She is deeply intentional in her instruction, thoughtfully designing learning experiences that build students’ skills and confidence. Leslie works tirelessly alongside each student to ensure they are supported and successful in sixth grade, providing them with a strong foundation for middle school.
