Voters in the West Des Moines Community Schools district boundaries re-elected three incumbents to the Board of Education following the Nov. 4, 2025 school election. Fannette Elliott, Anadelia Morgan, and Lila Starr will each retain their seat on the board.

Unofficial results below are from the Polk County Auditor’s Office. Results are unofficial until certified by the County Board of Supervisors.

Election Results: Board of Education

  • Fannette Elliott: 7,690 votes (32.40%)
  • Anadelia Morgan: 7,814 votes (32.92%)
  • Lila Starr: 7,667 votes (32.30%)
  • Write-in: 565 votes (2.38%)

Each member will serve a four-year term on the seven-member board. The group is responsible for setting policy, overseeing district finances, and ensuring that students have access to high-quality learning opportunities. 

The board will hold its organizational meeting Monday, Nov. 24 to administer oaths of office and elect board officers for the coming term.
