Constructions Plans and Updates

  • With the help of our community, the West Des Moines Community Schools developed a 10-year facility plan to ensure our buildings provide outstanding educational environments for our students. In addition, the district reviews its facility plan on a regular basis.

    Below are the projects we are currently working on, updates on our construction projects, and projects planned for the future.

    All the projects listed are funded through the statewide sales tax and the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy.

  • Disposal of Equipment

    WDMCS contracts with GovDeals, Inc., an online auction service, to assist with the disposal of surplus property. GovDeals provides this online service to governmental entities to assist in the sale of assets, equipment, and supplies. Board Policy 803 addresses disposing of equipment.
