Media Resources

  • WDMCS appreciates the partnership the district has with local media outlets in sharing inspiring stories and relaying timely information to families and the community. Weather-specific notifications are broadcast on WHO-TV, KCCI, and WOI-Channel 5 television stations. Numerous radio stations also share weather-related announcements.

Media representatives are encouraged to directly contact the School/Community Relations Department when seeking a written or on-air response to a story, or to request access to a district building to film, photograph, or interview staff or students.

    Student-Athlete Interview Times

In general, we will make students available by appointment on Wednesdays from (2:30- 3:45 p.m.) during the school year. Please contact the Athletics & Activities Department to set up an appointment. After games, students will be available once the team has met. For further information or assistance, see a member of the Athletics & Activities Department staff near the conclusion or immediately following the event.
