National Honor Society Applications DUE SUNDAY!
Posted by Brooke McTavish on 3/24/2023National Honor Society Applications for 2023-2024:
To be eligible for consideration of membership in the Tiger Chapter of the National Honor Society, you must be a current 10th or 11th grader with a cumulative grade point of 3.5 or above. Selection is based on a point system. There are several pieces of information each worth points: Cumulative grade point average (GPA), leadership quality, character, community service, and citizenship. Selection will be made by a five member faculty council who will analyze the information in an effort to determine which students demonstrate superior leadership skills, are students of character, are exemplary citizens, and have freely and generously used their time and skills for the betterment of the school and community. Active leadership will be closely looked at as a core requirement for NHS admission. Please be aware that active participation with the group next year is expected. To receive an application, see Mrs. Edwards, the NHS sponsor, in room 1630. For any further questions, contact Mrs. Edwards at edwardsj@wdmcs.org Applications are due March 26th at midnight.
