Valley Basketball Elementary Night social promo

Get Ready for ‘Elementary Night’ at Valley vs. S.E. Polk Basketball Games on Jan. 11

On Friday, Jan. 11, it’s “Elementary Night” at the Valley High School vs. Southeast Polk boys’ and girls’ basketball games! Here’s what West Des Moines Community Schools (WDMCS) families need to know:

  • WHO: Valley Tigers vs. Southeast Polk Rams
  • DATE: Friday, Jan. 11, 2019
  • TIME: 6:15 p.m. (girls’ game), 7:45 p.m. (boys’ game)
  • LOCATION: Valley Fieldhouse, 3650 Woodland Ave., West Des Moines, IA 50266
  • TICKETS: WDMCS K-6 students who wear school or Valley Tiger T-shirts get in FREE. K-6 students who don’t wear school pride or Valley apparel get in for a $2 discounted price. Parents must accompany their student(s) and pay regular $5 ticket price.

K-6 students will have the opportunity to do a “sideline tunnel” when Valley’s starting lineup is announced for both games. Additionally, at halftime of both games, there will be quick knockout games at each end of the court following Valley’s dance and cheer performances. There will also be giveaways for Valley Tiger-branded shirts and miniature foam basketballs.

In addition to the “Elementary Night” promotion, the Valley girls’ basketball team is hosting an autograph night at Friday’s game vs. Southeast Polk. All kids who wear their jerseys will get in free. Following the girls’ game, the Tigers will be available in the North gym for autographs.

The Valley dance team will also be selling boys’ and girls’ basketball schedule T-shirts as part of a team fundraiser. There will be stations set up by ticket tables into the fieldhouse, where adult sizes S-XL cost $10 and XXL are $12.
