WDMCS Families and Students: Important Summer Reminders
With summer break in full swing for West Des Moines Community Schools, we want to offer these important notes and reminders to district students and families:
WDMCS’ Summer Hours
School offices are not fully staffed during the summer. Administrators are working in the buildings, so please leave a message and your call will be returned.
If you need immediate help, please contact School/Community Relations at 515-633-5023.
The district offices at the Learning Resource Center will be open.
A variety of athletic camps are offered for K-12 students during the summer. View the full schedule and find more information here provided by the Valley High School Athletics & Activities Department.
Additionally, Community Education has a number of fun and affordable activities through Summer of Learning. You can check out more information about the program and a list of the opportunities here.
Summer Food Service
Starting June 5, breakfasts and lunches are free to children and teens 18 years or younger. Adults may purchase breakfast for $2 and lunch for $3.75.

Iowa Assessment Results (Grades 3-12)
Results from spring Iowa Assessments are back and students’ scores can be viewed via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
Individual Student Profile Reports will be sent home next week with end-of-year academic reports.
Teachers and administrators can help answer any questions you might have regarding your student’s progress. Teachers will be available at the schools through June 5.
