West Des Moines Community Schools Superintendent Lisa Remy, Ed.D., receives her “17 People Making a Difference From 2017” award from Iowa Business Journals Vice President Jolene Goodman.

Superintendent Lisa Remy, Ed.D., was named one of the “17 People Making a Difference From 2017” by the Des Moines’ Western Suburbs Business Journal. Remy and the other 16 honorees were nominated and chosen for having a positive impact in their communities during 2017.

“We created this to honor individuals who have made a difference in their business community,” said Shane Goodman, editor and publisher of the Iowa Business Journals. Honors were based on nominee’s collection of accomplishments, involvement and impact in his or her community.

Readers submitted nominations, and an advisory panel chose the winners, who were announced in the January issue of the Western Suburbs Business Journal. Remy and the other award recipients were honored at a reception at Bank Iowa on Thursday, Jan. 25.

Congratulations to Superintendent Remy!
