Don’t Let Summer Be a Bummer – June 30
Summer is a fun time for students with camps, summer jobs, vacations and spending time with friends. But summer can also be a dangerous time as it is generally when authorities see increased alcohol and illegal substance abuse by teens.
Don’t Let Summer Be a Bummer! Employee and Family Resources (EFR), in partnership with Valley High School, is hosting a community forum to discuss ways to help keep kids safe during the summer months. Join us Monday, June 30 from 7-8 p.m.
Join EFR and Valley staff in the Valley Media Center to learn how to “Not Let Summer Be a Bummer,” a free event featuring Kathi Berry, mother to a victim of drunk driving, along with a panel of professionals to discuss ways to help young people make safe and healthy decisions and reduce underage drinking in the community.
High school students are welcome to attend with their parents or guardians as it will be a very informative evening.
