Meet and Greet With School Board
The WDMCS Board of Education welcomes two new members elect, Tali Greenspon and Vicky Poole. When they are sworn in on Tuesday, Sept. 23, they will join the seven-member board, which will also include David Brown, Kevin Carroll, H. Milton Cole, Andi Lipman and newly reelected and current Board President Elizabeth Brennan. Jill Hansen and Mark Lagomarcino will be retiring from the school board after serving 10 and four years, respectively. Please join us for a reception Mon., Sept. 23 from 6:30-7 p.m. at Walnut Creek Campus (1020 8th Street, WDM) honoring the incoming and outgoing members.
Tali Greenspon, 5730 Red Bud Way, West Des Moines, has lived in the district for 21 years. She is owner of Advantage Industries and is an account executive at Competitive Edge. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics with marketing minor from Drake University. She and her husband, David, have three children. Their oldest, Ellie, attends Jordan Creek Elementary.
Vicky Poole, 12844 Clark St., Clive, has been a resident of the district for 13 years. She is the retired principal of Valley High School, a position she held for 15 years. She holds a doctorate in education from Drake University. She has two children and six grandchildren. Poole is a member of the City of Clive Board of Adjustment, Clive Public Art Advisory Commission, Clive Citizen Review Committee, Simpson College Education Advisory and West Des Moines Leadership Academy Board.
