WDMCS Launches Online Community Forum WDMCSIdeaShare.com
Here at the West Des Moines Community Schools, we know that our community members have great ideas – large and small – that could help improve our schools and our district as whole.
That is why the district has launched WDMCSIdeaShare.com, an online community forum where you – the members of our community – can share your ideas with district administrators and other engaged citizens.
It is a community forum that is 24/7. WDMCSIdeaShare.com is ready when you are to share ideas, provide feedback and make recommendations on a broad variety of issues related to the district.
We plan to keep it fresh with new topics, so it’s an easy way to stay involved.
Some of the topics we are already discussing are:
- “How do you keep your child’s academic skills sharp over the summer?“
- “If you had a magic wand, what would you change about West Des Moines Community Schools?“
Try to top our Leaderboard by signing up, referring a friend, submitting an idea or by having your idea “seconded” by another user. You could win a free ticket to a Valley High School athletic event or lunch with West Des Moines Community Schools Superintendent Dr. Peter Ansingh. That’s right, lunch with the Sup!
This online forum, developed in partnership with MindMixer, is an extension of the in-person community forums held this spring across the district. All ideas gathered during those meetings and posted to the site will be reviewed by district administration in an ongoing effort to enhance the education in our community.
