An Exciting End of the Year for French Students
French classes across the WDMCS have been wrapping up the school year with special projects and trips.
Valley’s French IV class spent a day in Chicago visiting the Art Institute and the Alliance Francaise of Chicago. At the Art Institute, students saw examples of French Impressionist painters that they had studied, and then participated in French language activities at the Alliance Francaise, including French cooking lessons from a French chef.
French I students have been writing to pen pals in France this school year. One of the French teachers requested an article she could put in their school newsletter. Indian Hills students Natalile Sanders and Reid Epstein sent in articles, and Reid’s was chosen to be published.
