The Valley Athletic Department, the West Des Moines Community School District and a group of volunteers are involved in a "first- ever" athletic fundraising project to improve upon the baseball, softball and track & field concessions/restroom/storage area at Valley High School. This improvement project is not funded under the State Local Option Sales Tax and the PPEL (Physical Plant and Equipment Levy) funds have all been allocated for other projects. It is time to provide a first-class facility for our student athletes, their parents and the fans of our sports teams.
To make this project a reality, private donations will be needed. You are invited to support this fundraising effort to provide the sports environment our student athletics deserve.

are the muscle of Valley’s strong tradition of success. Opportunity
to participate in nineteen different sports bringout the best in
student athletes. Students learn the importance of training, discipline,
dedication and teamwork. Appearances at state tournaments are a
common occurrence for Valley athletic teams, despite stiff competition
in the Central Iowa Metropolitan League. Valley has been named the Des Moines Register's Iowa All-Sports Champion for the last five consecutive years.
Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus is an infection that is resistant to commonly used antibiotics such as penicillins and currently available cephalosporins. MRSA has emerged in communities and can cause infections in otherwise healthy people. Most MRSA infections are skin infections that appear as red and swollen sores or boils. MRSA can be spread easily among athletes. For more information about MRSA from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Click Here .
The Valley Athletic Department offers a number of camps for student-athletes. Each spring, a new listing of camps will be posted as the information is available.

Cheer-Cheer for old Valley High
Shake down the thunder from all the sky.
We will never forget her name,
We’ll win for Valley’s greater fame.
What though the odds be great or small
Old Valley High will win over all.
As her loyal sons are marching
Onward to Victory.
Oh, we will fight, fight, fight, for
Valley High
And may her colors ever fly
And we will fight, with a might for Valley High
With a will to do or die…..Rah! Rah! Rah!
Loyal son forever true
And we will fight the battle through
And we hit that line we’ll hit it hard
Every yard for Valley High!!!
