Valley’s
radio broadcasting program is one of only two high school programs
in Iowa and the only program in the state to have a fully digital
production and on-air studio. KWDM’s 18-mile broadcasting
area makes it a metro-wide voice for Valley High School and the
West Des Moines Schools. Valley’s radio students program KWDM
and broadcast daily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. KWDM’s announcers
also broadcast live from remote locations, including football and
basketball games. Students are encouraged, but not required, to
enroll in broadcasting courses offered at Valley to participate.
