District staff, families and community members are invited to enjoy lunch at Café V! The cafe is open for business again for the 2009-2010 school year beginning on Thursday, September 24.
Café V is part of the Culinary Arts Program at Valley High School. This “bistro café” is located in Room 321 at the high school where lunch will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. most Fridays (or Thursdays where noted). Currently, there are 15 students enrolled in the Culinary Arts class and they will perform all duties related to the operation of the café – purchasing, cooking, managing, serving and clean-up. Each student in the class is dual-enrolled at DMACC and will receive eight college credits upon completion.
The café can seat 30 to 35 people and meals will cost $8.00. A typical meal consists of an appetizer/salad, a choice of main dish and a dessert. Ice tea, lemonade, water and coffee are the available beverages. Take out meals will also be available.
