Valley After Prom 2010 will be held on Saturday May 8, 2010 at Jordan Creek Town Center in the food court area. The theme this year will be Mardi Gras! The event will begin at 11:30 p.m. and last until 3 a.m. As teens across the country face difficult choices with regards to alcohol and impaired driving during prom and graduation season, approximately 1,400 Valley High Students will affirm their commitment to their own safety and the safety of their friends by celebrating at a substance-free, chaperoned party. The Valley High School After-Prom Committee is organizing a fun night of food, entertainment and prizes. The event is free to Valley juniors and seniors and a $5.00 charge will be to Non-Valley guests. Students do not have to go to prom to attend Valley After Prom.
This event can not happen without the support of Valley families, Corporate Donations and In-kind Community Support. Please join us in supporting this worthwhile event for our local West Des Moines teens. We know things are difficult these days when it comes to donations, but these are our children and we need to invest in their safety.
We are respectfully requesting a monetary donation from you as a parent we are looking at a minimum of $40 per Valley family. If you would like to make a donation in the form of in-kind prizes contact Pam Brown at 223-2800. If you have a company that you would like to make a corporate donation please contact Melodee Pomerantz or 224-4932.
