When it comes to educating our students, WDMCS teachers often collaborate in teams to help students learn. At the junior high level, our buildings are structured around the idea of teams.
Each of our two junior high schools are divided into smaller learning communities, with a group of students assigned to a team of teachers. This allows the teachers to partner to address the unique educational needs of the young adolescent during this time of transition between elementary school and high school.
As the student continues to grow, so do the number of course electives at the junior high level. For example, our students can expand their foreign language study and begin taking French. They also can choose to take courses such as Energy and Power and Communications Media, in addition to their core classes.
