WDMCS Recognized as National Top Workplace

The West Des Moines Community School District has been recognized as a National Top Workplace by WorkplaceDynamics.

The district is one of only seven Iowa companies to receive this distinction. In addition, it is one of only 22 organizations nationally in the education sector to be named to the list. The school district has approximately 1,300 employees, with 642 certified staff/teachers, 611 support staff and 38 administrators.

“Our staff should be proud for the work they do every day to prepare each of our students for his or her life journey,” said Superintendent Dr. Peter Ansingh.

West Des Moines Community Schools was recognized by the Des Moines Register as one of Iowa’s Top Workplaces in 2011. The district was honored based solely on a survey about the workplace completed by its employees.

The list of National Top Workplaces aggregates results from across 30 Top Workplaces publishing partners to identify the best employers in the nation. The full list is available at http://www.topworkplaces.com/frontend.php/national/standard

The list of National Top Workplaces is based solely on the employee feedback from 805 companies surveyed with 1,000+ employees across the 30 regional Top Workplaces programs.  This included survey responses from more than half a million employees.

The list is published by WorkplaceDynamics of Exton, PA. WorkplaceDynamics are experts in organizational health and conduct over 4,000 company surveys each year. “Put simply, the most successful companies appear to be the ones that employees believe in” said Doug Claffey, CEO at WorkplaceDynamics.
