MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the WDMCS library media program is to ensure that
students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. 
The library media program promotes the appreciation and enjoyment of literature
and other creative expressions of information.

Wednesday  7:25 – 2:15
Media Center Lab  7:15-3:15  (2:15 on Wednesdays)

The Indian Hills Media Center is located in the center of the building. 
It includes a collection of over 13,000 books and materials.

Why use online research databases?
There is a difference between searching an online research database that is accessed through the Internet and searching the World Wide Web on the Internet with a search engine.

The online research databases:

• Are developed and sold as a product
• Include selected information sources
• Target a specific audience
• Index the entire document (full-text)
• Use an index or controlled vocabulary to improve search results
• Use special search engines to retrieve information
• Provide access to information only by subscription
• Allow users to sort and display search results
• Include full bibliographic informationLink to other information sources in a logical manner
