PTO Secretary Nominations for 2010-2011

Please consider volunteering for a PTO SECRETARY for the 2010 - 2011 school year at Hillside.  The officers for 2010-2011 are:   President – Kelly Betts, Vice President – Laura Porter, and Treasurer – Will Reuss.  Any parent with a student attending Hillside next year is eligible and encouraged to participate.  The PTO welcomes new faces and new ideas; everyone is welcome.  Voting for secretary will be April 13th at the PTO meeting.   If you are interested, please contact Will Reuss at 360-2597 before the April 13th  to nominate yourself for a position or with any questions.  Thank you for your interest!

Kindergarten Round-Up

Kindergarten Round-Up at Hillside Elementary School will be Thursday, April 15.  We will begin the registration process at 6:30 p.m. and parent meeting in the dining room  at 7:00 p.m. The meeting is for parents only.  Please bring registration materials including a birth certificate or proof of birth date.  Registration fees may be paid at the meeting.  The kindergarten teachers are looking forward to sharing information about the upcoming school year and meeting new Hillside families.  A pre-kindergarten experience for students will be held on Monday, April 19, at 10:30-11:15 a.m.  Please bring your 2010-2011 kindergartner to the media center on April 19th.  Parents should plan to remain at school for a short informational meeting with the school principal and counselor.

Art Fundraiser

Be on the lookout for YOUR CHILD’S ART…it will be on a FREE MAGNET.  The kids are excited; it’s one of a kind! But ordering more products is a rare find!  Square 1 Art is on its way…FUNDS SUPPORT HILLSIDE Hip Hip Hooray! Following Spring Break, order forms will be sent out for families to purchase their child’s artwork. Items to purchase include stationery, ornaments, mouse pads and more…Shirts, aprons, tiles, too good to ignore!
