Milton, an Episcopal Priest, assists his wife, The Reverend Mary Cole-Duvall at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in West Des Moines. Milton and Mary have three children. George is a graduate of Valley and a freshman at the University of Northern Iowa studying in South Sudan , Leah is in eighth grade student at Stilwell Junior High, and Mary-Scout is a sixth grader at Hillside. Milton grew up in Virginia and has undergraduate studies at The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and also Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Milton has graduate degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from The University of The District of Columbia in Washington, D.C.; a Masters of Divinity from The General Theological Seminary in New York City and additional studies in Higher Education from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He and his family moved to the district in 2005. In 2006, Milton was appointed to the Persons With Disabilities Commission by Governor Tom Vilsack.

Elizabeth is a preschool teacher at Montessori Children's House in West Des Moines. She graduated from Valley High School and St. Olaf College. She earned her elementary teaching degree, with an ESL endorsement, from the University of Iowa and her International Diploma in Early Childhood Montessori teaching from the Montessori Centre International in London. Elizabeth and her husband, Scott, have two children: Lexi is a sophomore at Valley High School and Joe an eighth grader at Stilwell Junior High.

David is vice president of compliance at Principal Financial Group. He is a graduate of Valley High School. David holds a bachelor's degree in German from Lawrence University and a law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. He and his wife, Julie, have three children: Ross is a 2010 graduate of Valley and a sophomore at Dartmouth College; Keegan is a 12th grader at Valley; and Chase is a sixth grader at Westridge Elementary. David has served on the board of directors of Youth Emergency Services & Shelter and on the board of directors of Hospice of Central Iowa. He is also a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.

Kevin is manager of mental health and social services at Broadlawns Medical Center. He is a graduate of Valley High School. Kevin holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Central College, a master's degree in education from the University of Maryland, a master's degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of New Hampshire, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Drake University. He and his wife, Julie, a teacher at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School, have two children: Emily is a seventh grader at Stilwell Junior High and Luke is a third grader at Fairmeadows Elementary. Kevin has served on the district's boundary, start/end times, staff recognition and Building a Learning Community committees.

Jill is vice president/human resources for West Bank, and also serves as executive director of the West Bancorporation Foundation. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Iowa College of Law. Jill and her husband, Rich (a 1973 Valley graduate), have three children: Laura, a 2002 Valley graduate, and 2006 graduate of Northwestern University; Allison, a 2005 Valley graduate and a 2009 graduate of Northwestern University, currently studying at the University of Pennsylvania; and Drew, a 2011 Valley graduate and freshman at Brown.

Andi is an attorney in West Des Moines. She is a graduate of Valley High School. Andi holds a bachelor of science honors degree in psychology and minor in business from the University of Iowa; and a law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. Andi and her husband, Jeff, have four children: Arielle is a 2010 graduate of Valley and a sophomore at the University of Iowa; Dani is a student at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School; Meier is a seventh grader at Stilwell Junior High; and Asher is a first grader at Western Hills Elementary. Andi has served as Western Hills Elementary School PTA co-vice president, Valley Southwoods PTO volunteer coordinator and Western Hills representative for the district's School Community Network. She also served on the district boundary committee.
