If your child will be five years old on or before September 15, 2010 he/she will be eligible to start kindergarten. You may complete an on-line form to begin the enrollment process. If you have already contacted your neighborhood school and your child’s name is on the 10-11 kindergarten class list, there is no need to call again or fill out a form.
The district will continue to offer full day kindergarten at all elementary schools. Due to space limitations, it is possible that some families will be capped out to a classroom outside their neighborhood attendance area.
Half day kindergarten will also be offered with free transportation provided to students in the class. It is likely that the half-day program will not be located in a district school building. The 2009-2010 half day kindergarten class met at the Valley Evangelical Free Church on Fuller Road.
