Elementary schools will begin accepting names for the 2011-12 kindergarten class on September 1, 2010.  If your child will be five years old on or before September 15, 2011 he/she will be eligible to start kindergarten. You may complete this on-line form to begin the enrollment process. Filling out this form will save your child’s spot on the 2011-12 kindergarten class list, but you will still need to complete the registration process at your school. If you have already contacted your neighborhood school and your child’s name is on the 11-12 kindergarten class list, there is no need to call again or fill out a form.

The district will continue to offer full day kindergarten at all elementary schools. Because of space limitations, it is possible that some familes will be capped out to a classroom outside their neighborhood attendance area.

Half day kindergarten will also be offered with free transportation provided to students in the class.  It is likely that the half-day program will not be located in a district school building. The 2010-2011 half day kindergarten class meets at the Valley Evangelical Free Church on Fuller Road and is affiliated with Jordan Creek Elementary.
