Collaboration Days

Wednesday Collaboration

Collaboration is a time for staff at all schools to work together to improve teaching and learning. All schools will dismiss 45 minutes early on Wednesdays to allow for collaboration time.

The school day is altered to give district staff time outside the classroom to:

  • research new teaching methods,
  • examine and revise curriculum and
  • set goals for improving student achievement.

Collaboration time may also be used for grade-level or department meetings, staff training and for the coordination of curriculum from one grade to the next.

Arranging all schools’ collaboration sessions on the same day weekly makes the schedule more predictable for parents, students and staff.
