Get ahead of the crowd and reserve your seat now for the 2008-09 school year! All students who plan to ride the bus next year must pre-register by Friday, May 30. Pre-registration is easy – just call 633-4990 and follow the prompts (633-4989 for Spanish). Pre-registration is very important because it helps our Transportation Department establish bus routes and bus stops prior to the start of school in the fall. The ultimate goal is to have routes set early enough so that bus passes can be distributed to students prior to the first day of school. This can only happen with your help! So call 633-4990 today to pre-register your bus rider!
The district has made a commitment to meet the demand for full-day and half-day kindergarten classes for the 2008-09 school year. It is anticipated that most kindergarten classes will be in session all day next year. >> MORE INFORMATION

You may contact your neighborhood school or complete an on-line form to begin the enrollment process. If you have already contacted your neighborhood school and your child’s name is on the 08-09 kindergarten class list, there is no need to call again or fill out a form. >> 08-09 Kindergarten Information and Form

Third grade students at Crestview Elementary School transformed their rooms into different layers of a tropical rainforest.

Students in 3C created the forest floor. The understory was reproduced by students in 3B and the canopy was created by 3A. Students studied the plants, trees and animals in their layer of the rainforest.

The
West Des Moines Community School District will be a caring community
