At the Monday, Feb. 27 West Des Moines Community Schools (WDMCS) Board of Education meeting, the district administration presented a brief outline of its recommendations to reduce the costs of Phase 3 of the Valley High School renovation project, which includes the new auditorium.
The recommendations were selected from a wide-range of cost-saving options provided by the design and construction management team and reviewed by acoustical experts. These options were also shared with the Valley fine arts faculty on Friday, Feb. 17. The goal is to maintain the overall quality of the facility design, while providing necessary cost savings.
