arrow FACILITIES IMPROVEMENT PLAN - Next Community Forum: March 22
The Board of Education will sponsor a hearing on the 2010 Facilities Improvement Plan on Monday, March 22, at 7 pm in the Community Room at the Learning Resource Center. Then on Monday, March 29, at 6:15 pm there will be a special board meeting where action will be taken on the final 2010 Facilities Improvement Plan. There will be time allotted for community input.

The 2010 Facilities Improvement Plan Recommendation of the Superintendcy to the Board of Education took place on February 22. The recommendation outlines the scope, sequence and estimated costs of renovations over the next several years. The projects will be funded by the state-wide one cent sales tax and the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy. (These sources of funding may not be used to provide relief to shortages in the general fund budget.)

arrow CLASSES WILL BE IN SESSION ON FRIDAY, APRIL 23
The Board of Education voted to use April 23 as a snow make-up day. Barring any additional school cancellations, the last day of the 2009-10 school year is Tuesday, June 8.

arrowLEARNwest WINTER/SPRING SESSION - NOW TAKING REGISTRATIONS
LEARNwest offers evening and weekend classes for adults, and after school enrichment activities for students. Registration for the Winter/Spring 2010 class session is now open!

arrow 2010-11 KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION
If your child will be five years old on or before September 15, 2010 he/she will be eligible to start kindergarten. ACCESS AN ON-LINE FORM to access an on-line form to begin the 2010-11 kindergarten enrollment process. If you prefer, you may contact your neighborhood school to have your child’s name placed on the 2010-2011 kindergarten class list. Please do not fill out an online form if you have already contacted your neighborhood school and given them your student's information. If you are not sure which school your child should attend (based on your address), please use the link provided, or call the Office of School Community Relations at 515-633-5023.

Destiny is a completely web based automated library system. Parents and students can use any computer with Internet access to view the catalog for their school's library. You can search by keyword, title, author, subject and series. Just click on the Destiny icon to get started.
