Update through October 14, 2005
Steel erection is underway with good progress on the 2-story and some work completed on the commons infill. Some of the steel for the commons has been delayed, but should be on site soon. It will be placed as soon as it arrives so that construction can “work itself out” of that corner. Masons have completed block work on both of the south stairwells for the 2-story and are finishing block work at the main entrance. They have completed block work on the east end of the commons and are now working on the bathrooms at the south end of the Media Center. Preparation for a 1st floor slab on grade pour on the west side of the 2-story is underway. Work is now complete on the repair of field house walls. Area prepared for a slab pour the week of 10/17 for the new Special Ed. and media workroom areas that were formerly the wood shop. Good weather has allowed good progress on the project this fall.
