Update through March 28, 2005
The majority of the concrete parking lot south of the building has been poured. Work continues on connecting the rooftop mechanical equipment to the inside of the building. Interior piping and electrical work also continues. Lights have been hung in the Auto Shop. Electrical work regarding the switchover to the new equipment took place over Spring Break. Tunnel revisions on the north end of the Mechanical Room have been completed and the area restored. Underground oil storage tanks have been removed and the area has been restored to the condition that will be necessary before starting on the next phase. Pre-bid activities have started for the next phases and that work is scheduled to bid on April 7. Screening for rooftop equipment is now scheduled to be on site mid-April.

Update through March 16, 2005
Piping work continues in the Boiler and Chiller Rooms. All block work is complete on the exterior of the building. The sanitary sewer is now connected to the new Mechanical Room. Screening supports for the rooftop mechanical equipment are set and screening is due on site in two to three weeks. The parking lot south of the main building is being poured today. The majority of the parking lot that was disturbed as utility lines were brought across to connect to Valley West Drive has been repaved. The entire building will be shut down over Spring Break to allow connections of new electrical systems. All is moving toward completion of Phase 1A in mid-May. The new two-story building and new commons area is scheduled to bid April 7.

Update through March 11, 2005
Sewer line is now completed across the parking lot and most of the parking area that was disturbed has been repaved. A new fire hydrant north of the softball field is under construction. Access steps to the loading dock have now been re-poured. Paving of the parking area south of the loading docks and new building is scheduled to take place over Spring Break, weather permitting. The chiller has been set in the Chiller Room. The cooling tower is now set on the roof and piping to make connections is underway. Supports for screening for the rooftop cooling tower have been set. Face brick for the new Chiller/Auto Shop building is virtually complete. Tunnel cover, as well as additions on the north end of the Mechanical Room, have now been completed and blocked in. Face brick is still needed in this area. Work continues on piping and mechanical.
