Update through July 28, 2006

All trailers, except one from the west side of the building, have been moved and that parking lot is now available for student parking. All exterior concrete has been poured. Sodding, seeding, and landscaping scheduled to start mid-August. Most construction fencing has been removed.

Commons area – Floor tile work has started between the field house and the new two-story. Lockers are in, signage has been hung, and most painting is complete.

Second floor – Corridor tile has been laid and corridor ceiling grid is in place as are electrical lights in that grid. Most classrooms have ceiling grid, marker boards hung, and painting complete – still need electrical trim. Elevator in and operational, air conditioning connected, but not fully controlled as yet. Grinding and polishing on Art Room floors complete. Most finish painting is complete on second level. Tile, fixtures, and toilet partitions all complete in upstairs restrooms. Carpet to start the week of 7/31.

First floor – Corridors have ceiling grid, but nothing on the floor as yet. Most classrooms have ceiling grid and light fixtures hung and most boards hung, but still painting and trim work to do. Still working on some ductwork on the first level. Tile work in restrooms on lower level nearing completion. No fixtures or partitions have been set as yet. East end of first floor Commons has the floor tile in place. Restrooms have tile complete. Some fixtures and partitions have been set.

1B – Work is virtually complete with only small odds and ends left. Still need final Certificate of Occupancy inspection, which is scheduled for 8/3.

Work continues on the fire sprinklers in the southeast corner of the existing building and the schedule is a bit tighter there, but all on schedule for Fire Department walkthrough on 8/3. Air conditioning in the kitchen is nearly complete with cleanup scheduled for the week of 7/31.

Update through July 5, 2006

1C (New 2-Story)
Driveways and sidewalks around the new 2-story are complete. Backfilling is underway.

1st floor – The Commons between the field house and 2-story are mostly painted out. All masonry work in place as is all electrical fixtures. Prime painting is mostly complete and some accent wall painting has been started. Electrical and technology wiring still underway as is some ductwork. Floor tile has just started in the restrooms, but none has been laid in the 1st floor corridors as yet. One of the South Commons restrooms has all floor tile and wall tile set. Floor tile installed in the second restroom with installation of wall tile in process.

2nd floor – Corridor tile all laid, painting mostly complete, and millwork has started. Ceiling grids in classrooms in place and most light fixtures have been hung. Painting is underway in the south stairwells. Many of the marker boards and tack boards have been hung. In the restrooms, all floor and wall tile set, painting complete, and partitions and fixtures have been hung. Some HVAC detailing is underway. Floor grinding and polishing in the Art Rooms is nearing completion.

1B (Infill of Tiger Court & area between Field House and existing building)
Ready for move-in with furniture scheduled to be installed any day. Still one issue with the sight lines that needs to be determined once the furniture is in place before final Certificate of Occupancy is issued.

Field House
Although not included in the scope of this contract, the new field house floor has been laid, but still needs to have the finish applied.
