Update through July 29, 2005
Deep underground utility work in Tiger Court area is now completed and soil has been compacted to appropriate level. Still some dirt work in the south courtyard underway. Footings going in for the connection where the building was cut. Block wall at former entrance to Tiger Court is nearly complete. Footings for the new two-story have started with some of the foundation walls now being formed and some have been poured. A large 24-inch storm sewer line still needs to come through new commons area and pipe will be delivered today. That work will take place early next week. The northwest parking lot repair has now finally started and should be poured back in place next week. Sprinkler work in the west portion of the building is coming along nicely and will be complete as scheduled. Work continues on the repair of the walls in the field house with areas now being opened and worked on in the west and north sides. Still some closure work to be done on the east and south sides. Work continues at the loading dock for the new woods shop as does the work inside with the mezzanine now hung and electrical and plumbing work being installed. Work to start on the addition for the fire booster pump next week.

Update through July 21, 2005
A couple of days of outside work have been lost due to wet grounds, however, much work continues inside and elsewhere. Sprinkler installation in the west end of the building has progressed nicely with the increased crew sizes and is coming along as scheduled. Technology and communication cabling is ongoing in the entire west end also. Work continues on repairing the field house walls with the majority complete on the east and south walls. Work is starting on the north and west walls. Structure for the mezzanine in the new wood shop has been installed and the mezzanine floor pours are due in the next day or so. The hole has been cut for the dock door into the wood shop and dock foundation walls have been poured. The majority of the underground utility work in Tiger Court has been installed. It is expected that the dirt work can be completed in this area by Monday, 7/25. Some footings have been poured south of the field house for the commons and two-story building as the majority of the dirt work for the two-story building has been completed. Scaffolding and block for the N/S corridor wall that used to look out on Tiger Court have been stocked and that work is ready to commence. Work continues in the pool area by another contractor. Brick is being removed from the exterior pool walls and is in the process of being replaced. The northwest section of the parking lot is ready to be poured as soon as the site dries satisfactorily.

Update through July 14, 2005
The over excavation for the new two-story building is complete. Structural fill is being brought back in and should be complete by the end of this week. Excavation continues in the common areas and also utility work in the common area that was formerly Tiger Court. Fire sprinkler work continues in the west end of the building and work on some joist reinforcement in that area is also in process. Work is also continuing on the east wall of the field house with tuck pointing and repairing of the rusted structural members near the top of the wall. Repaving the section of parking that has been removed at the northwest corner of the site is scheduled to be done yet this week. Work continues on the footings for the dock for the woodworking shop.

Update through July 7, 2005
Demolition of the exterior is basically complete. Tiger Court has been cleared and the slice through the building has been completed. Soil removal has started with expectations that footings for the commons area could start late next week (week of 7/11) and for the 2-story building, the week after that (week of 7/18). Ramp has been poured next to the multi-media room that now gets the floors to the proper level. The floor for the multi-media room itself is scheduled to be poured tomorrow (7/8). Work continues on the exterior of the field house. Steel repairs on the east side have been completed and repairing the mortar joints is underway. Plumbing and electrical underway in the new woods lab. Sprinkler piping is underway in the west end of the building with a large crew working hard at making the schedule of being complete by the time school starts. Footing stem walls for the dock outside the woods lab have steel set and are being formed.

Update through July 1, 2005
Demolition continues – The existing building has now been cut in two just east of the field house. All of the old mechanical building is down, but some large foundations must still be removed. A few trees that are in the area are being relocated. Footings for wood shop loading dock being poured today. Work continues on the repair of the exterior walls of the fieldhouse. Grading and footing work will start as soon as demolition is complete.
