VHS Update through February 9, 2006
1B (Infill of Tiger Court & area between Field House and exiting building)
Floor tile has been laid in the east rest room and wall tile will be complete this week. Work continues on block and brick work in the interior in various spots throughout this area. Most sheetrock has been hung and taping and floating is underway. Counselors’ offices have been prime painted and frames for windows have been set. Framing continues on bulkheads and the mechanical and electrical work is ongoing. Sheetrock is all hung in the Special Ed. area (former Wood Shop area). Ends for the skylights are on site and those should be installed by the end of this week, thus making 1B totally dried in.

1C (New 2-Story)
Work is underway preparing for a final slab-on-grade pour that’s scheduled for Monday (2/13). Exterior brick work continues on the south side of the building and there is about one more week left until that is complete, then they will move around to the east side of the building. Interior block work is scheduled to start on the 2nd floor the week of 2/13. New doors are being installed at the south end of the Field House.

Construction continues to move at a brisk pace with the favorable weather.

Update through February 23, 2006
1B (Infill of Tiger Court & area between Field House and exiting building)
Most sheetrock is hung throughout this area. Taping is complete and some prime painting has taken place. Stepped floors for Business Ed. classes have been poured. Sprinkler piping is underway throughout this section. Most frames for doors and windows have been set. Ceiling grid installed in many areas. Interior block and brickwork is complete and most has been washed down. Work continues on electrical and mechanical equipment.

1C (New 2-Story)
All floor slabs have been poured with the exception of the small piece connecting to1B and a small portion immediately adjacent to the south entry of the Field House. Plumbing, ductwork, and electrical all ongoing. Masonry work for corridor walls and rest room walls is underway. Masonry and pre-cast trim on the exterior of the south side of the building nearly complete and work has now started on the east side of the building.

Project is moving along nicely and is a bit ahead of schedule. The intent is to move into 1B in mid-July and 1C in December.
