Update through August 26, 2005
Work continues on the underground utilities in the new Commons area and is nearing completion. The majority of the footings and foundations are in for the new two-story building with a few left to be installed on the east side. Many footings are also installed in the new Commons Area. Work is underway on the wall around the radio transmission tower, new ELP room and on the permanent wall in the area where the temporary link is now installed. Work continues on the repair of the Field House walls, with majority of the tuck pointing complete (still some exterior holes to complete the exterior brick work). Woods Lab is complete and occupied, however, the dust collection system is not fully operable but is expected to be by Monday (8/29). The temporary link between east and west ends is in place, waterproofed, and has been used as needed for the start of school. Sprinkler and fire alarm systems in the west end are completed, inspected, and fully operational. Northwest section of parking is completed, striped, and islands have been backfilled with planting all that remains to be completed in that area.


Update through August 12, 2005
A sanitary sewer is being finished through the Commons Area. Work is underway on the temporary connection between the two buildings, with some of the masonry now placed. Footings are being poured for portions of the commons area, as well as the two-story building. Work continues on the repair of the field house wall. Block wall has now been installed on the area that formerly looked out on Tiger Court. The Wood Shop dock has been poured and inside work is nearly complete with the finishing of the floors in process. Ready to start floor finishing in the Multi-Media Room. Inspections for sprinkler work in the west portion of the building have taken place and all appears to be in order. Paving of the northwest parking area that was disturbed has been completed and work is underway on the backfill of the islands in that area. Work continues on the pool and the pool wall with most of the face brick removed and most asbestos removal work complete. Domestic water booster pump still expected to be in place when students report to school.
