1B (Infill of Tiger
Court & area between Field House and existing building)
East Commons – All rest room partitions are
in place, final touches being done to the plumbing, offices
are painted, flooring and base is in and only some electrical
trim remains to be complete. All millwork has been set in
the Media Workroom. Trellis canopy covers for the coffee bar
as well as outside the Media Center have been installed. Still
some carpeting to install along the exterior of the Media
Center. The plan is to start punch list work on 5/2.
Media Center – Still some painting
to complete, ceiling grid should be installed later this week,
flooring has not been installed, and millwork remains to be
installed also. The plan is to have this area ready for punch
by 5/15.
North/South Commons – Majority of
millwork is set, all floor tile has been installed, some ceiling
tiles have been dropped, most flooring is complete, millwork
nearly complete in the Business Ed. area. The north part of
the Commons to start punch 5/2 with the rest of the punch
taking place on 5/15.
1C (New 2-Story)
Still some masonry work underway in the South Commons rest
rooms. All exterior masonry has been installed on the building,
however, finish masonry in the Commons between the field house
and the new building is in process and should be complete
the week of 5/1. Metal stud work is nearly complete on both
stories, all windows have been installed with the exception
of three windows on each floor in the northwest corner. These
are scheduled to be installed this week and that, coupled
with some finishing touches on the roof, will totally dry
in the 2-story. Sheetrock work has started in the south end
of the 2-story, site work is scheduled to start as weather
permits, and work continues throughout the building on HVAC
ductwork and plumbing detail. Elevator scheduled to start
later the week of 5/1.

cover for the Coffee Bar is set. All tile is complete. Finishing
plumbing and partitions in rest rooms. Offices are painted.
Ceiling grid is in and ready for dropping ceiling tile. All
millwork and tops in the Media Workroom are installed. Carpet,
lighting, and ceiling grid are all in the Counseling Workroom
off the East Commons. Trellis canopy covers over reading areas
outside the Media Center are being installed.
Media Center – Painting is complete
and ceiling grid installed.
North/South Commons – Preparing to
set millwork. Floor tile underway in the north half with work
about 75% complete. First coat of paint on in all areas and
finish painting is in process. Electrical fixtures hung and
protected. Millwork set in some of the office areas. Rest
rooms nearly complete with tile and fixtures set and painting
nearly complete. Carpet laid in some of the offices off the
North/South Commons. Millwork being installed in Business
Education classrooms.
1C (New 2-Story)
Block work complete inside the South Commons rest rooms. Exterior
masonry being installed in the Commons, between the field
house and 2-story. First floor of 2-story, interior masonry
work nearly completed and metal stud work well underway. Second
floor sheetrock stocked, but installation waiting until window
installation is complete. Windows on the south and east side
have been installed. West side windows will go in as soon
as exterior masonry is complete, which is projected to be
the week of 4/24. The greenhouse on the south side is assembled.
All in all, the project is coming
along nicely and on target for turnover of 1B approximately
June 1 and 1C in December.
