Construction - March 2004 |
The site is very muddy, but both interior and exterior work continues.
The exterior masonry work is nearly complete now on the administrative
area and some work is underway at selected areas on the east wing
and in the area outside of the dining room. Also, interior masonry
work is nearly completion on the second floor restroom. Drywall work
is progressing on the west wing, with the majority of the walls having
the drywall hung and the taping and floating of that drywall well
underway. Window installation is underway in the west wing is becoming
a critical path item, as further drywall on the outside walls can’t
be completed until windows are installed. Most of the interior framing
in the east wing on both floors has been completed and drywall has
been hung in the corridors of the first floor. Ductwork is nearly
complete, with the work underway currently in the center wing and
administrative areas. Fire sprinkler piping is being installed, with
the majority of the west wing complete and material on site for the
balance of the building. Plumbers and electricians are now finishing
rough in and starting to pull wires in the administrative area. Exterior
work has been somewhat delayed, due to the snow and wet soil. However,
ruts are being smoothed so as to improve the drying of soil and the
parking lot grading and paving and sidewalks will commence soon.
