On-site utility work has started. Rebar for the footing work
was delivered to the site and placing of that rebar is scheduled
to start immediately. The mechanical contractor is scheduled
to start on the underground work beneath the building pad
on Monday, June 30. Rock has been delivered to the site to
help provide staging areas for work in order to minimize the
effects of the wet weather. The silt fence that was installed
to minimize soil run-off worked well in the heavy rains that
have occurred recently.
Grading has been completed and work is scheduled to start
this week on site utilities and building foundations. A silt
fence to minimize any soil run-off from the site is now in
place. Shop drawings for the pre-cast material have just arrived
and are being reviewed and the drawings for structural steel
should be coming soon.
In spite of the fact that rain and wet ground hindered work
for much of the last week, the earthwork contractor had made
significant progress on that portion of the job. the storm
water retention area in the southwest corner is nearly complete
and the building pad is expected to be at the proper grade
later this week. Footings from an old building (pre-Valley
Stadium days) have been discovered and are being removed in
areas where they will cause conflict. The site has been completely
fenced for safety purposes. When the earthwork is completed
late next week, the site utility work will then commence.
Work continues on the shop drawings for pre-cast and steel
materials.
