Still working on cleanup on the exterior.
New east canopy has been framed, but not finished. Still some
work to do on the new south canopy also. Exterior seeding
and sodding is complete with some areas looking good, while
others may need to be reworked. Both the east and west classrooms
and the Media Center have been punched and final work is being
completed. Punch happening on 5/30 for office area and new
Music Room. Exterior punch in early June. All still looking
good for a move-in on 6/19. Some windows had to be reordered
and those will not be on site and ready for installation until
mid-July. Chillers and air-handling units are all connected
and running. Work is underway on fine tuning the controls
for those units.
Exterior grading done and ready
for seeding, which is scheduled for early the week of 5/8.
Fence has been installed around the water retention area northwest
of the building. New sidewalk installed in an area in front
of the building, still a couple of pieces of sidewalk to repair
in the back of the building. Still some finish work to do
on the canopy as well as some spot exterior painting. Inside
finish work continues with final painting nearly complete
in the east wing, most ceiling tile have been dropped, floor
all in and most of the base has been installed. In the west
wing, there is still ceiling tile to drop, most floor is down,
still some base to install, trim work on electrical and plumbing
is ongoing, still some rubber flooring to install in the multi-purpose
room as well as the Art room. HVAC scheduled for startup in
early May. Still looking good for turnover to the WDMCS District
in mid-June.
East wing – Working on
the entrance canopy. East corridor now tiled. Temporary windows
have now been installed on the east corridor. All carpet and
millwork is in the classrooms. All ceiling grid up and ready
for dropping ceiling tile. Prime painting is done in the classrooms
and corridor. Still have vinyl base to install in classrooms.
Most east end whiteboards are installed. Millwork set in the
office and floor prep underway. Central rest rooms have tile
set, plumbing fixtures in place but not connected, and some
bathroom partitions have been installed.
West wing – All corridor floor tile
installed as well as tile and carpet in the classrooms. Millwork
has been set. Plumbing is still underway in this wing. Ceiling
grid all installed. Ceiling lights hung and connected, but
no ceiling tile has been placed as yet.
Mechanical equipment scheduled to start
the first week of May. Some exterior work is scheduled for
4/14 and the week of 4/17, weather permitting. The project
is on schedule for a mid-June turnover.
