Update through May 24, 2005
Sidewalks on the south and west sides of the building are formed and ready to pour yet this week. The majority of the grading is complete for the northwest turnaround, although it may still be two or three weeks before that initial paving coat is installed. The play area in the southeast corner has been seeded and is currently being watered. Block for the retaining wall is on site, but that work most likely will now be done in late June. The south addition and existing area are in the finishing process. Most carpeting has been laid. Most ceiling grid is installed. Toilet fixtures are set. Tile is in place. Still some technology wires being strung in this area. The north addition lower level has millwork set. Most ceiling tile is laid in and most of the millwork is set. Carpeting has started in some areas of this level. Tile is complete in restrooms on both levels and most plumbing fixtures have been set. The ceiling is being installed in the main entry and final touches to the fire sprinkler system in the gymnasium are underway.

Update through May 12, 2005
Balance of the carpet is being laid in the Media Center as well as other areas in the south and existing wings. Chiller and air-handling units are being started today and tomorrow. Tile work has started in the bathrooms in the north addition and work continues on the installation of millwork and painting in those areas. Ceiling tile is now being dropped in classrooms in the lower level of the north addition. Wet weather this week has stopped progress on the grading of the northwest turnaround, although it is getting close. Additionally, seeding of the south playground will take place as soon as weather permits. Retaining wall material is on site and that work will start as soon as the site dries. The schedule for the bridge has been moved up to June 10. At this point, it looks like the bike trail will be done in a timeframe outside of the timeframe for this project. The punch list for the south addition and existing area is currently targeted for the first week in June.

Update through May 6, 2005
The top coat of the south parking lot is being installed today. Also, the hard surface play area near the south parking lot has been installed. Grading for the south grass play area has taken place and it’s expected to be seeded next week. Grading for the northwest turnaround is underway. Roofers are in the process of finishing the fascia and trim pieces for the roof. Most millwork has been set in the south addition and existing building and setting millwork is just starting on the lower level of the north addition. The first phase of elevator work is complete. Masons are to be on site next week to do some further work and then elevator installers can complete their work. The first floor of the north addition has all of the ceiling grid in the classrooms and corridor and much of the prime painting has been completed. Work is still underway on pulling wires in the second floor corridor, which will then immediately be followed with the installation of grid. Lower level bathrooms are sheetrocked and painted and the tile setters are due on site next week. The bridge for the area across the creek is now scheduled for mid-June, which is an improvement on the original schedule.
